DXP for Manufacturing (Discrete) Discrete Manufacturing—producing distinct items like automobiles, electronics, and aerospace components—requires precise synchronization between shop floor hardware, assembly line logic, and overarching operational software. The gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) often creates black boxes in the assembly process. DXP bridges this gap through native hybrid visual programming, edge execution, and real-time defect analysis. DXP introduces Hybrid Visual Programming specifically tailored for industrial applications, allowing engineers to construct and deploy IEC 61131-3 standard Ladder Logic visually. This logic seamlessly interacts with the platform's higher-level node graphs and API connectors. To ensure uninterrupted shop floor operation, DXP utilizes Tauri and embedded Deno V8 Isolates to push functional execution directly to the edge, running critical automation workflows even in air-gapped environments. For Quality Assurance and line monitoring, DXP leverages LiveKit WebRTC rooms to ingest continuous camera feeds from the assembly line. By deploying AI Vision Analyzer agents directly into these streams, the system achieves real-time, automated defect detection. If a defect is found, the MOIRA rules engine halts the line and WFX-B initiates the required engineering change order or rework routing immediately.
